From source to story
Five layers between a source and an answer.
Sources
Public, open, and institutional sources form the cultural foundation. Each piece of information retains its provenance so it remains identifiable and verifiable.
Knowledge
Sources are structured, connected, and ranked around places, works, periods, and the relationships between them.
Context
Location, image, language, time of day, available time, and discovery history determine which information is relevant to the situation.
Interpretation
The model generates its response from this documented context, maintaining a clear link between the narrative and the sources behind it.
Experience
Delivery then adapts to the medium, level of detail, available time, and real-world context of the visit.

Visual recognition
When you allow it, recognition can use your location, time of day and visit context to better interpret what you frame.

The voice experience is designed to let you interrupt, clarify or go deeper without starting a new search.
Thaïa keeps no audio recording in your profile. The data needed for voice processing may be processed temporarily by our AI provider.
Itinerary composition
Itinerary composition is designed to combine time, distance, crowd levels, interests and pace to build a coherent route.

Proximity
The phone watches zones, not your route. A place only triggers an alert if it clears a notability threshold. Silence is the default.

Cultural memory is designed as a list you can review and edit. From one city to the next, it can enrich the context of future discoveries or be erased at any time.

Sourcing and verification
An answer must lead back to its source.
A cultural answer should be traceable to its origin. When a source is available, Thaïa identifies it; when information cannot be sufficiently supported, the system should make that limitation clear.
Traceable
Answers are grounded in the documented context given to the model, so the link to the sources behind them is maintained.
Cited
When provenance is available, the source can be displayed and opened from the interface.
Correctable
Reports can be reviewed in order to correct or improve the content concerned.
An artwork on screen, the same conversation
The library is designed to extend the same gesture: open an artwork, ask your question, and get an answer anchored on that work’s exact identity and on the subjects harvested from Wikidata. The answer is generated by the model, the context it rests on is sourced. Every image clears a licence check before it enters the base: public domain, CC0 or CC BY, nothing else.
Every artwork carries its type: painting, print, drawing, photograph, sculpture or archaeology. Enough to know what a museum holds before you go.

Adaptation
The same story does not fit every situation.
An eight-year-old, a specialist, someone with ten minutes and someone who cannot hear do not want the same story about the same place. That is not four pieces of content to write: it is one knowledge base and a set of constraints on how it is delivered.
AI supports the user. Human control remains central.
Technology must stay in its place.
Minimisation
We aim to limit the data collected to what is necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Control
Memory is designed to remain visible in the app and editable by the user.
Deletion
Deleting your account removes the associated data from our servers, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Independence
The cultural foundation prioritizes open, verifiable, and portable data. The architecture is designed to remain adaptable as technologies and providers evolve.
